Trenching and drainage

A trench is dug to allow pipes, gravel and other materials to be placed.

Pipes are installed and tied into existing gutters to route water away from the home.

After trenching and laying proper drainage materials the area is filled in and graded properly.

Trenching and Drainage

Trenching and drainage involve creating sloped channels (trenches) to collect and redirect surface water, using systems like trench drains (grated channels) or buried pipes called French drains to manage runoff, prevent flooding, and control erosion, requiring careful planning for slope, material selection (concrete, polymer, steel), and connection to an outlet, ensuring proper grading and regular maintenance for effective water removal from hardscapes, driveways, and landscapes.
