Gravel driveways are cost-effective, offer excellent drainage, and suit rural or natural settings, using layers of crushed stone for stability, but they require regular maintenance like raking and weed control, can be messy with loose stones, and need occasional replenishment; options range from simple crushed rock to stabilized grids for more permanence and less upkeep.

Often if drainage and slope is incorrect there will be areas that need to be graded to ensure ruts and divots are corrected prior to laying top materials. This can be done by hand, but it's more effective to use machinery like a skid steer.

Without regular maintenance weed growth will begin to take over the driveway. This can be corrected with scraping, weed barriers or weed sprays.

During installation new material will be spread in layers to ensure proper slope, crown and coverage. The materials will be compacted to help keep the driveway and stones stable.

Order more material as needed (often yearly) to top up low spots. There are several different materials used with the most popular being #57 stone, crusher run, granite / limestone and pea gravel.

After our skilled team scrapes, fills in pot holes, removes weeds, compacts and spreads material you will have a stable driveway that ensures proper passage and drainage.
