Sod Installation

What is Sod?

Sod, or turf, is a pre-grown layer of grass and soil harvested in rolls or squares for instant lawn establishment, offering immediate ground cover, erosion control, and weed suppression, with popular types including Bermuda, Fescue, Zoysia and Centipede.

Site Preparation

Before installation, the site requires soil prep by raking, tilling, scraping or grading. Amendments to the soil or top dressing helps add a strong base to the promote sod growth. The area is then lightly watered prior to laying sod.

Laying Sod

Rolls of sod are laid out on the prepared surface in staggered rows like bricks, cut to fit edges. The freshly laid sod are kept watered during installation. Once all the sod is laid it is rolled to help smooth the area.
